Hey Rhyon Fans! It’s been a very, very long time! I just wanted to post to let you all know, incase you haven’t heard it by now that “Lincoln Heights” has been canceled! For those who don’t know, it means that the show will not be returning for another season! This news makes me so upset because that was my favorite show and it seemed to be doing so well! I have no clue as to why they got rid of it. You can still watch the series on TVOne though, it airs weeknights at 11pm ET. Below is a video of Rhyon announcing the cancellation of the show.

Hey Rhyon fans! I came across an interview that Rhyon did with YA Fresh. In this interview Rhyon discusses her love for reading and how she loves to read books that you just can’t put down, lol. Rhyon also tell us who her favorite authors are. The interview is below.

In addition to a busy acting career that spans back to her kindergarten days, Rhyon is a firm believer in giving back to the community. Actively involved with the Boys and Girls Club of America, she lends her celebrity to support the charity and has appeared at several events on their behalf.

Lately, it seems that Rhyon’s fan base is growing (Yay) and I have seen lots of people saying that they wish Rhyon had a Twitter page… well, you should be happy to know that she DOES have a Twitter page! You can follow Rhyon on Twitter now @1Rhyon. Rhyon also has a YouTube channel where she has began posting lots of videos talking about “Lincoln Heights” and random topics. In another last minute notice, I wanted to let you all know that Rhyon will be on CNN today, October 10, 2009! CNN will air a feature segment dedicated to LINCOLN HEIGHTS that will include on-camera original interviews with cast members Rhyon, Nicki Michaeux and Erica Hubbard. The clip will air twice, first at 9am PT/12pm ET and then again at 7pm PT/10p ET. Tune in and watch the ladies if you can!

Did you see Rhyon’s appearance on The Mo’Nique Show last night? If so, it was really good! I enjoyed the ladies a lot on the show. I was especially happy to see “Lincoln Heights” get some more exposure, they deserve it! Can you believe that it was their FIRST EVER national show and they are in their fourth season?! Hey Rhyon Fans! It’s sort of last minute, but I wanted to inform you all that Rhyon will be appearing on “The Mo’Nique Show” TONIGHT at 11pm ET on BET! She and the other ladies of “Lincoln Heights” (Erica Hubbard and Nicki Micheaux) will be there to promote the show. I’m so glad Lincoln Heights is getting more recognition these days! The season has been great so far. Lizzie worries me though, she’s a bit too nice and too trusting.

In other super-GREAT Rhyon news, she has just written and directed her first short film! The film is called “The Ties That Bind” and it has a good cast too! Her big sister RaVaughn is one of the many who is featured in the film. As you all know is has been her long-term goal to direct and produce since she was a little girl, so it’s great to see that she’s already starting! I will be posting pictures from behind the scenes of the film shortly.

Rhyon has been out and about a lot these days. I’ve added a few pictures to the gallery of her at the following events: The DPA pre-Emmy Gift Lounge on September 19th, HBO’s post Emmy Awards reception on September 20th and The 7th Annual Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party on September 25th!
